Extraordinary experience looking for non alcoholic pairing read on… Very high culinary level and attention to details when it comes to the food. This is really up there! The focus of this review is however more about their non alcoholic “wine pairing”. Personally I don’t drink alcohol anymore and until now I haven’t come across a restaurant being willing or interested in putting together something that is (for me at least) worth mentioning as a non alcoholic pairing. Usually it’s some sort of fresh pressed juices something I haven’t been impressed with anywhere. Oliva took it up a notch actually two three notches. When ordering the owner listened curiously to our wish for a pairing and quickly offered a pairing that would be made by their very experienced bartender. This was new for them and we had to agree that this was an experiment but oh boy, what an experiment. A mix of wine, “spirits”, mocktails, details from classic expensive cocktails left us stunned with what this became truly extraordinary. The curiousity from the bartender, willingness to get feedback and noting down what he made. Loved the craftsmanship here. If you’re ready to lean back and trust a place when it comes to a set tasting menu and drinks pairing go for it. Best part, the price was the same for the nonalcoholic pairing as the wine one, despite this taking a lot of the bartenders time. For us well worth it. Huge recommendation
Overall nice experience, but lacking any wow factor. Meals were ok, but confusing in taste and texture overall. Steak was very average compared to other steak specialists, perhaps other dishes more suitable. Staff friendly and great wine menu 6/10
Thankfully Oliva came recommended and my wife and I had a superb meal and an all-around excellent dining experience. We didn’t go for the tasting menu but still enjoyed various interesting amuse- bouches that were delicious. The menu was creative and thoughtfully put together, with unique combinations that made every dish feel exciting while still perfectly balanced in flavour. The service truly elevated the evening. The staff were not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and wines, offering helpful recommendations and explaining the dishes with real enthusiasm. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and special. From start to finish, everything was beautifully prepared and served with a genuine smile and great value for money. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for inventive food paired with warm, attentive service. We hope to return sometime in the not too distant future.

We had a fantastic dinner at Restaurante Olivia and enjoyed every course. We started with the steak tartar, which was fresh, well‑balanced, and beautifully seasoned. The scallop and prawn dish was a real highlight — perfectly cooked, delicate, and full of flavor without being overworked. For mains, the merluza was excellent: moist, clean, and cooked exactly right, allowing the quality of the fish to shine. Everything was wonderfully complemented by La Del Vivo 2023, a beautifully chosen wine that paired perfectly with the dishes. We finished with the raisin cake dessert, which was the ideal ending — comforting, not too sweet, and very satisfying. Service was warm, attentive, and professional, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant. The attention to detail, from the food to the wine and olive oil, really shows. One of the best meals we had in Nerja. Highly recommended, and we would gladly return.
