I guess it is an old barn that has been converted into a very cozy restaurant. If you like riesling you will not be disappointed with the wine selection. Very good value for your money, especially if you compare with the other side of Mosel.

There is a nice outside area at the back (Beergarten) when the weather is warm.

The restaurant is warm, decorated well in a modern take on rustic and spacious. The staff are friendly and maintain the right level of attentiveness. It seems to be very popular with locals and hotel guests alike. The food is German fare (with a sneaky but gorgeous Weiner Schnitzel finding it's way onto the menu as well) with a focus on Saarland tradition. The potato soup is a delicious starter, the Weiner Schnitzel is the best I've had ever and the Saarland Platter is a taste sensation with some great stuff for those visiting Saarland for the first time. The portion size is generous to ginormous (depending on your appetite!) but the quality is there in bucketloads too.Absolutely nothing, not a thing, I could fault.

There are only 2 vegetarian dishes. Prices are a little lower than Luxembourg. They serve a good range of wines, mainly from the region. A brunch buffet is served on sundays between 12 and 15.00
