Friendly staff took us in out of the rain and were fantastic! Food was good but Philip was the stand out, came round and chatted to every table making sure everyone was happy and comfortable. He was an absolute delight. Thank you Phillip! Recommend the fondue : View all feedback.
What Andy C doesn't like about Hog's Breath Cafe:
I was not impressed. I ordered a piña colada for $19. It came in a very tall, thin glass and was basically gone in three sips and didn't have hardly any liquor, it was 90% filled with ice. I also ordered the avocado chicken and prawns which came with a small piece of chicken and three small shrimp. Most of the plate was filled up with the salad and a huge lump of mashed potatoes, the food tasted OK. My main complaint... View all feedback.

Is it possible to ride ones own coattail? Getting by on former glory and slogans whilst your prices increase despite your decline in food quality? That's the best I can convey my feelings from today. Garlic and herb bread was cold and poorly toasted to the point of some of the spread not melting at all. My partners steak was overcooked and had plenty of fat and gristle. My chicken, bacon and brie wrap needs a little more thought on accompanying fillings. The raw slaw and tomato relish were at odds with the main ingredients. I polished off the lot; I'm not one to waste food. But it was disappointing. AND the curly fries! I remember being little and loving all the curly pig tails. Now you're lucky to find a good one amongst a serving of cast offs.
My childhood stop point for road trips. Every time we were in Nelson Bay we'd have Hog's Breath; oh the memories. Really, the food isn't outstanding and the service is ...slightly above average. The tables are greasy and so is the food, but who cares...memories rule!

Can't give a review. Tables everywhere empty. Sat couple in front of us, but told us a half hour wait. My friend And i went to The Wood Oven across from it instead.
