What User doesn't like about Seabreeze Takeaways:
to the worst I had unfortunately. the fish and chips were not over-boiled or under-boiled and looked absolutely good, but tasted terrible. both the fish and the chips seemed to have a sweet, sugary taste?!(which is of course not the taste they want with fish and chips. it was the feeling of the left very disappointed, and overall not worth a good one. the only good thing was that their service was in order. The restaurant provides cheerful and fast service in a tidy establishment. The food is pleasant and not overly oily. Some may find the portions to be slightly smaller than expected, but overall the quality is very good.
I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so here's mine! The burger was absolutely delicious. The fresh bun and perfectly cooked bacon made for a fantastic combination. The fish was cooked perfectly and the pineapple rings were exceptional. The portion of chips was just right. The customer service was outstanding and the entire staff worked well together. I am a very satisfied customer. Keep up the good work, guys! Well done.
I believe that this is the top Fish and Chip Takeaway spot in Nelson. They consistently serve the best fish, but what really impresses me is the way they prepare the batter - it's perfectly crispy and well-drained. Tonight, we enjoyed some Bluff oysters that were large, juicy, and still had a crispy batter. Absolutely delicious.
According to Google, the restaurant closes at 8:30. I called at 8:20 with a large order, but unfortunately they had already closed. Despite telling me multiple times on the phone that they close at 8:30, they shut everything down earlier. It seems like 8:30 is more of their "leave the shop and head home" time. What's the point of having set opening hours if they don't adhere to them?
This used to be my favorite fish and chip shop until my latest visit. I ordered a piece of crumbed fish at a high price but was very disappointed to find that the fish was very small. I feel like I was ripped off. Additionally, the staff should wash their hands after sneezing into them.
