La Gourmandise - Nelson

The staff was really friendly, and the drinks and appetizers were fantastic. We started with the baked Camembert and French onion soup. For the main course, we ordered the ribeye with scalloped potatoes, which was good; however, I didn't care for the bean and tomato side dish. I had the courgettes topped with crumbled goat feta and hazelnuts, but I found the courgettes to be quite bland. The nuts and cheese crumble also made the dish dry and unexciting. On the plus side, the salad was delightful!

Great location. This is a place one will come back to time after time.

Staff was so nice, food was great, french authenticity and just everything was awesome! The wine was delicious too and we had a lovely waitress from Asian decent who really went the extra mile. The cheese is amazing too! Everything was just like France. Honestly nothing to say but great job! Next time we’re in Nelson we’ll be back.

Delicious crepes! They were incredibly moist and tasty! I had a wonderful dinner! They also offer some lovely French wines. Thank you for a delightful evening!

Avoid the coffee. However, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly. The location is charming, though there are no vegan options available, so it's better suited for vegetarians.
