Hales Corner Fish 'n ' Chips - Nelson

Pretty damn good. I think the chips are a bit on the crunchy side which I really enjoy. Well cooked. The one thing I really love about this place is the batter on the fish. It hugs the fish nice and tight. It clings well and forms a thin shell. There arent any greasy cake battery lumps protruding. I’ve been twice and found this consistant. I would imagine that reviewers claiming the chips were “burnt” are used to the more common undercooked and starchy soft chips. To each his or her own I suppose.

Stayed in Nelson a for a week... Got fish and chips here every night. Awesome..
