Man Friday - NELLY BAY

Went to Man Friday with a large group after sailing up from Pittwater. The food was good but the service struggled with 12 of us. The possums added a little interest and overall it was a pleasant evening at a moderate cost.

A lovely little restaurant in the backstreets of Nelly Bay, set against a bush backdrop. The menu is largely Mexican but has additional options for those not inclined towards Latin American cuisine. The food was generous and very good quality, we had the beef burrito and the chicken breast in a wine and cream sauce. We loved the fact they used free range chicken and commend them for doing so as it is not commonly done in most restaurants up here. Food was lovely and so was the service and all reasonably priced. The best part is you're eating in almost a bush setting so the wildlife is all around you. We were visited by curlews and possums and they were welcomed by patrons and staff, alike. This is a must visit restaurant.

This restaurant is the best kept secret on Magnetic Island. The food is great and the service was just superb. The atmosphere is great at night, with possums coming down to greet you while you are eating. Food is fantastic, and very reasonable portions.Price is very affordable for the portions received.Put this on night out, it is a BYO. Take your own drinks, and maximise your fun.
