On a cold day, driving under wet conditions, we decided to go from the main road and to the port of Neil. To get a picture of the wavy ocean, we drove towards the lighthouse and we are treated with the view of this hidden gem. Hot chowder and steamed shells on a cold day? What Bill H doesn't like about Chowder House:
Lobster sandwich on white bread! No roll. I've eaten lobsta sandwiches from Maine to PEI and I've never seen such a sad looking sandwich. Big mount of fresh potatoe fries without seasoning but with skins. View all feedback.
We ordered the platter for two, and it was fantastic—so much food for a great price that we left feeling completely stuffed! This place is an absolute must-visit! The service is amazing, the food is delicious, and the people are wonderful!
The chowder at this place is absolutely amazing! As expected at 'Chowder House,' it's delicious. If you visit during a busy time, be ready to grab a number and wait. You're here for the delicious food and the beautiful view, not for the atmosphere or service.

I’ve driven 17 hours three times just to eat here! I really hate you all! Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.
Great spot by the lighthouse! We visited on their last day of the season, and the server informed us that they would be closing in about an hour. Unfortunately, that left us with limited menu options. Luckily, they still had the lobster sandwich we loved! Overall, a nice lunch experience.
