The honest truth, started out on a journey today, with another venue in mind. It was so busy, kept driving and ended up in Neerim Sth. What a surprise, my partner had been there years before and wasn't impressed, but I talked him into it! Well the service was exceptional, great staff, very helpful. The food was spot on, when I say this, we have had some bad experiences lately, so this was refreshing. It was lunch, so... View all feedback.

prices too high, had to wait 10 minutes while a young guy (not old enough to serve alcohol) tried to do some simple mathematic to share a bill for the 2 people before us. would recommend to go the giga on the road! View all feedback.
We had lunch at the Neerim South Pub yesterday on a day out in Gippsland. A friend had suggested we stop there for lunch because why have an open fire...she is a good friend. The weather was cold, the wind was blowing and when we walked into the warmth of the dining area with its open fire and expansive views we knew we had made a good decision to stop here for lunch. The menu was very good, with a Seniors Menu, specials board and desserts board (a selection of about 8 desserts) as well as the usual menu. We decided to have the soup from the specials - zucchini, bacon and broccoli which was served in a bowl on a board with a warm roll and butter. It tasted absolutely delicious. We also had a coffee with our meal. The soup was such a generous serve we had to decline dessert!!!The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful as well. They have live music on the last Sunday of each month in the front bar, which would make the Neerim South Pub a good destination for Sunday lunch followed by live music. Will definitely visit again.
Visited on a Wednesday night. Fire was on and extremely inviting. Food was plentiful and tasty. Love the dukkah and breads.
Cold beer, plenty of parking, great food, friendly service. Pretty town with great roads to ride on. Will be back for sure x

The food was spot on, when I say this, we have had some bad experiences lately, so this was refreshing. It was lunch, so some of the reviews have been for dinner. There were quite a few inside and outside dinning, so they seem to keep up. Would highly recommend, don't say this often. Prices were good, I thought, meal very enjoyable, that's what its all about.
Were staying in town for my partners birthday and of course a pub meal was on the cards.Food was lovely but pricey )in my opinion for the area)Few criticisms;Entrees were all spread out and didn't come together, in my experience meals should all come together, or explain there is a wait on food. Oysters had been washed in cold water (if you're going to wash oysters please use salted water) it completely changes the taste and takes away from what they are.The main meals were delicious (little underdone with the steak) and they're huge portions.Definitely recommend but beware that it can be an expensive night out.
