We had the most wonderful Beef tenderloin dinner. The pasta dish was delicious as was the whole meal. Great cozy cabin with the wood stove. Nice and warm especially with the cold weather outside. Marcus and Deb are awesome hosts. They made us feel right...at home. The animals were a special touch. Charlie kept my feet warm during breakfast. Looking forward to our next stay at Rose Valley. Thanks for a lovely getaway.

Our anniversary dinner was perfect. Braised beef ribs was the menu we chose when booking. Food was excellent, boiled cucumber is the nicest thing. Deb and Markus are the dream team that produces the greatest pasta I've ever tasted.

We had a wonderful dinner last night at Rose Valley Lodge on our first visit. We ordered the Beef Filet meal, which is chosen by the first person to request a meal type for the evening as per the instructions on the website. The hosts at the lodge did an excellent job serving the meal in different courses. We started with a delicious tomato cream soup, followed by a green bean salad made from the neighbor's green beans. The bread that came with the meal was exceptional, the best I've had in Thunder Bay. The filet, wrapped in bacon and cooked to perfection, was incredibly tender and flavorful. The meal ended with a homemade dessert. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced, and there were also bar drinks and dessert coffees available. The dining area had large windows offering a view of the surrounding wooded area and a small animal barn with rabbits, a pig, horses, and a miniature mule. We took a break between courses to visit the animals in the barn. We didn't get to see the horses and mule in the far pasture, but we heard from other guests staying in the cottages that they were very happy with their accommodations. We plan to return for a night stay with a package deal including dinner, accommodation, and breakfast based on their recommendations. The hosts were friendly and did a fantastic job providing a delightful meal. We highly recommend Rose Valley Lodge for an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you to the hosts for making our dinner last night the best we've had in a long time. We will definitely be back!

Where else can you go for dinner where you get greeted by Peggy the Pig, two absolutely adorable baby goats and a menagerie of other beautiful farm animals? Nowhere I’ve ever been. Rose Valley is so unique while still offering the most incredible meal, outstanding...service and great value for money. Markus always performs his magic in the kitchen producing five amazing courses while Deborah adeptly handles everything else from greeter, farm tour guide, server, conversationalist to vehicle escort at evening’s end. They are why so many people keep returning to their little piece of paradise. Continues to be my favourite place to dine.

We visited Rose Valley June 20, 2019 for the overnight getaway and LOVED it!!! Deborah and Markus were absolutely unbelievable hosts. They made us feel right at home immediately and treated us like family. Deborah took us on a tour of the property where we...even fed the animals, and enjoyed the scenery. Markus made us a delicious 5 course meal with rabbit loin as our main entree. It was unbelievable. The dining experience was above and beyond our expectations. He is a truly talented chef. We loved our romantic, quaint, overnight cabin and the newly built deck on the front. Perfect for drinks in the sun pre and post dinner. We slept in late and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast with fresh scones, fruit, bacon, eggs and toast. Thank you so very much to the both of you. We will definitely be back Marina Tyler
