Review of Sofra Neckarsulm – Lots of potential, but with some drawbacks During our visit to Sofra Neckarsulm, we ordered a mixed grill plate consisting of kofte... read more Review of Sofra Neckarsulm – Lots of potential, but with some drawbacks During our visit to Sofra Neckarsulm, we ordered a mixed grill plate consisting of kofte, Adana skewer, doner meat, chicken skewer, lamb chop, and lamb skewer, accompanied by a small salad and three meze variations. Especially with a mixed grill plate, it's particularly challenging to prepare all the meats perfectly – because each cut has different cooking times. When one is ready, the others often have to follow suit. The longer a ready made cut waits, the drier it becomes. This seems to have been the case here – unfortunately, at the expense of juiciness and freshness. Meat Quality The selection sounds promising, but unfortunately, the meat didn't impress in terms of taste: • The lamb, chicken, and kofte were dry, tough, and cold, the seasoning was good, • Only the Adana skewer was okay, with a pleasant seasoning and consistency. That's a shame, especially for a grilled dish where juicy, fresh meat should be the focus. I specifically ordered doner meat instead of rice, and it was really good and juicy. Yaprak meat with good seasoning.

I highly recommend it if you ever find yourself in Heilbronn
