The New Lodge - Neath Port Talbot

I needed a place to get away and Lauren was absolutely amazing. A lovely courtesy call with me over sharing my situation and she was absolutely amazing. So friendly and helpful. Checking in with me to make sure the room and I were OK. She even arranged a meal to be sent to me. Absolutely top class! The room was everything I needed it to be. Enough room in the fridge for meals for a few nights and my lunch stuff. Love the pressure of the shower too!

Excellent stay at the New lodge. Lovely Helpful friendly staff. Would defo recommend anyone to pop down to the new lodge for food. Both the meals we chose were amazing. Excellent quality of food and really tasty all washed down by a pint or 8 of madri. We stayed for one night and were made to feel at home. Would defo recommend to anyone and would defo stay here again. Lovely room with a few of the swansea valley

I was treated to a meal at this restaurant by my mother-in-law for my 40th birthday. The service was friendly and efficient, and there was a great selection on the menu. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, and it was served with mushrooms, peas, chips, and a slightly grilled tomato. The food was delicious and well presented. I would definitely recommend giving this place another try.

I came to visit my son and family in Alltwen, Pontardawe, and decided to stay at The New Lodge, I was lucky to be given the deluxe suite, stunning views over the valleys, new modern bathroom, excellent shower. Only gripe no hangers in the wardrobe, I should have mentioned it, but forgot. The owners have recently taken over the property and are improving it bit by bit. The only other problem is they don't provide breakfast, they informed me on arrival that it was stated when booked room only!!! Maybe it was me not looking, but I double checked and saw nothing saying room only, luckily my son lived across the road, so I had breakfast with him, but if you were staying, there is no where locally to get anything to eat without driving afar, I did mention this to the owners, saying if maybe they didn't want to offer a cooked breakfast , offer a continental in bar or a hamper you could eat in your room. Considering there are only three rooms, total of 6 people at any one time, it's not hard to cater for !!. I would recommend and stay here again providing breakfast was provided. The hosts were very warm and welcoming, fingers crossed they can improve there business.

Very friendly staff, welcoming, clean and modern! Super cheap too!! £4.40 for a double gin Will be staying again!
