I think this place has been unfairly reviewed however my experience was short and only stopped here for a couple of drinks therefore can't review the food but the beers were nice and the staff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed our experience. View all feedback.
What Dave E doesn't like about Angel Inn:

Brill atmosphere . dj on fri and set what they call a happy place
I have visited this restaurant multiple times and the food is always fantastic! I am looking forward to coming back again. It is conveniently located near the waterfalls, making it the perfect spot to return to after a walk.
We have been loyal customers of the Angel Inn for many years, drawn to its unique atmosphere and friendly staff. However, our recent experience has left us feeling disappointed. Last week, we were served chips that appeared to have been cooked earlier in the day - they were dry, tasteless, and overcooked. When we mentioned this to our waitress, we received no response. Additionally, the lemon cheesecake we ordered turned out to be a basic cheesecake with a lack of flavor and a lemon drizzle sauce on top. We are now considering finding a new restaurant to frequent.
The venue is beautiful and nicely decorated, with friendly staff. My husband enjoyed his salmon pasta dish, but as a vegetarian, I found the options disappointing. The menu consisted of the usual choices like curry, burger, lasagne, and risotto. I opted for the mushroom risotto, which was unfortunately overcooked and lacked flavor - it was more like porridge. The parsnip curls were limp and thinly sliced, losing all taste. The buttered beans were dry and consisted of peas, cabbage, chewy broad beans, and French beans without any butter. It's a pity that some establishments still don't realize that vegetarians also deserve to enjoy delicious food.
Recently renovated, this city center pub is always welcoming with its well-kept interior.
