What Kelly Hoag doesn't like about Dickey's Barbecue Pit:
Yuck.... the only think I could eat wad the potato salad. BBQ sauce was watery and it must have been old because it tasted funny. No Brisket so I got the chicken not very good. Got a large soda and wasn't told the soda machine was out over everything.... 3 strikes, your out.. Just gross. View all feedback.

Not all Dickey 's are this way!!! I won 't give up on them, but this one is clearly on a full cut back for survival and I get it. Our experience is on a Saturday for reference. We ordered the 2 meat platters a special for 33, one with large sides and one with medium. Two drinks.. 61.00 with tip. Not sure how we got to that number, but we did.The only guy that we saw working brought over our food. The order was wrong, he had to bring the large sides for my husband and started to grab the small sides already on our plates, but stopped short. These sides were not mediums at all but smalls, so we ended up getting a tiny bit extra and I got to taste the Mac cheese. We both got brisket, hubby~ chicken and me ~pulled pork. One tiny BBQ sauce per tray. No more bottles of sauce out. The sweet tea wasn 't very sweet, no rolls and no free ice cream, because it was shut down or not working as the sign said.Honestly, all of the meat was very dry and likely not fresh at all. We put our meat in the beans, which were good. The coleslaw was delicious and the Mac cheese basic. Overall, I feel this place is struggling, thus the food is a reflection of that. No staff, no sauces available for patrons, no free ice cream and dry meat. I should have read the reviews beforehand, anyway....definitely not worth what we spent. Lesson learned
We had a great lunch here! The staff was so friendly and kind and brought our lunch right out to us!
I'm going to start off by saying that this could be the worst food i've ever had in my life. I could not even eat the barbecue because I almost broke my tooth on how hard it was. It's as if they pulled dry 10-year-old beef jerky out of a bag and threw it on top of some tasteless macaroni and cheese and fed it to me. I'm actually dumbfounded at how terrible this food was.Side note their prices are pretty steep for what you get portion size.Side side note I've reviewed 154 restraunts in kitsap and have only left three 1 star reviews. This place truly deserves no stars.
If you like BBQ from an oven, this is your place. No smoke, no thanks...
