Rolls are by far the most popular street food in Kolkata. A number of eateries serving rolls akin to the ones in Kolkata have opened up in Mumbai. Starting with their maiden outlet in Kharghar, Kolkata Rolls, which now has 24 outlets in 8 cities, have surely made their mark. Starting with their maiden outlet in Kharghar, Kolkata Rolls, which now has 24 outlets in 8 cities, have surely made their mark. When an outlet opened in the neighbourhood, I couldn't but help check it out. Along the variants I've tried, I'll highly recommend their Shwarma and Chicken Kosha Roll. The Paneer roll was somewhat of a disappointment. Conveniently located in the posh commercial sector 17 of Vashi, they have both options of a sit down meal and takeaway/delivery. A quality food outlet that is easy on the pocket when you are in the mood for a heavy snack.
Nice place to eat, variety of rolls are available both veg and non veg. Food quality is good. Service is nice. Price wise it's very much moderate. Sitting area is good but the best thing is that at every table there is a hand sanitizer.
Visited this place few times and continue to visit it unless they drop their standard. Rolls are excellent whereas one has option for 'wheat base' if they are health conscious. I like their 'Swarma' which is really excellent. All foods are very well priced. Sit out is small and non-air conditioned but clean, airy and even provided with hand sanitizer on each table. Must visit if you are around or passing by and longing for some Kolkata style rolls, Swarma and other Bengali small eats !
So it was a group of friends together on a weekday evening. So roll was a much wanted food to stave off hunger. The chicken kosha egg roll was recommended by our friend and we loved it too. The shwarma roll was also nice. It was quite filling and we decided that this needed to happen more often with us. The price was a little on the higher side though. Nice visit.
I ordered from this restaurant through Siggy. The food had a good taste and was very well packaged, even though they charged an extra Rs 5 for the packaging. It was worth it. The delivery was on time and the prices were not too high. I especially enjoyed the chicken roll, which was only Rs 80.
