The probashi Bengalis have something to cheer for now. This is an authentic Bengali cuisine restaurant that comes close to home food delicacies. So if you are missing home or Kolkata or both head to Iti. The décor is minimal but the food awesome. Like all true Bengalis, Iti believes that the road to a person's heart goes through the stomach. The Kosha Mangsho is awesome especially with the Luchis. Don't forget the no... View all feedback.

This is a small restaurant which serves authentic bengali cuisine. They have a set menu and a theme based menu to offer to customers. The food is decent, but the price is very high. The staff is friendly. This is a place i would go very rarely because of the price. View all feedback.
Though the restaurant hardly has enough space for 10 families to sit, but the food variety more than makes up for it. It is better to order takeaway from here and have in the comfort of one's home. The rates are affordable by Mumbai's standards and food tastes delectable. Overall, a good place to try Bengali cuisine once in a way.
We had been yesterday after reading its reviews. Glad we were not disappointed. the place has been done up in such a small footprint. nice and cosy. the waiting staff and the owners are there to personally greet you. the staff is le and very polite. the prices are reasonable, the service is quick and the staff are happy to oblige. the place is done up with some traditional poems. the place is vibrant and a definitely must try. you may bump into the owner Mr. Purnendu Bose and he is courteous for a chat explaining how did he start off this line targeting Probashi Bengalis and travelling Bengali friends on the lookout for authentic Bong cuisine

This is one of those places which are actually home delivery and takeaway joints also operating as restaurants. It has probably three tables. The food is pure Calcutta food. This means that the menu includes food that a Bengali would cook at home, plus the food you would get in restaurants of Calcutta and would rarely get in any other city. I therefore call it Calcutta, not just Bengali, food. The menu has a decent spread of vegetarian dishes (which is often a weakness of a lot of so-called Bengali restaurants outside Bengal -- they ignore the huge diversity of vegetarian Bengali food). The biryani is typical Calcutta style, very mild in taste. The various hilsa dishes are all there. Helpings are usually reasonably large. There are various Calcutta style snacks too, like cutlets and rolls. The ambience is not exactly fine dining. The address shown in the TripAdvisor page is obsolete, the establishment has shifted to the road which leads to MGM Hospital, Vashi. The restaurant is primarily at first-floor level, up a narrow flight of steep stairs. It is air-conditioned, but otherwise is very business-like. The staff are courteous and attentive.I see this place as a takeaway or home delivery establishment. I suspect 90% of their billing must be coming this way. We have ordered their food on numerous occasions. Delivery time is quite slow -- they rarely deliver in less than an hour. I have also eaten at their restaurant, for a quiet lunch with 1-2 friends. These tend to become heavy meals, given the rice-laden nature of this cuisine. This is one of the two very good sources of Calcutta food in New Bombay.
We are bongs, so bong food is cooked at home. However, we went here to try some more. The quantity is more than adequate, and the prices are high too. The moghlai dishes is good, as was the chicken chaap and biriyani. Would recommend the posto preparation here. Try it for the bong food and the sweets.
