I recently visited Haka, a new restaurant in the city that offers Chinese cuisine. The space is compact and the dishes are not very imaginative, but some of them are quite unique. I found the ambiance to be beautiful and welcoming, making it a nice place to dine. I started with the z soup, which was wonderfully refreshing with a mix of lemon, coriander, and a Thai touch. The paprika garlic shredded tofu had a good texture and a nice spicy kick. The veg wonton was okay, but could have been better with improved filling and less oil. The chicken dumplings were well presented but could have been softer on the inside. The dynamite prawns were crispy and perfectly seasoned, served in a martini glass with a spicy and tangy mayo. The Mongolian chicken was perfectly cooked and marinated, with a good balance of flavors. The sopo chicken was a pleasant surprise, tender and juicy with a unique mix of sauces. The burnt chili rice complemented the dish well, adding just the right amount of spice. For dessert, the caramel custard was good, but vegetarians may not enjoy the pronounced egg smell. The crispy honey noodles with ice cream were a bit of a letdown, lacking the desired crispiness. Overall, Haka is a decent Chinese restaurant with room for improvement in some dishes. Give it a try if you're looking for a new dining experience.

HAKA is a new restaurant in town, serving Chinese cuisine. While the ambiance is lovely and inviting, some of the dishes are quite unique and flavorful. The menu includes sizzlers, soups, dim sums, wontons, starters, and mains. The pricing and quantity are reasonable, and the decor is pleasant. I started with the Z soup, which had refreshing flavors with a Thai touch. The shredded chicken was tasty and the addition of chili vinegar enhanced the dish. The veg wonton was average and could have been better in terms of crispiness and filling. The chicken dumpling was well presented but could have been softer inside and lacked a spicy dip. Overall, HAKA has some fine-tuning to do, but it offers value for money. It's worth a try for those looking for a unique Chinese dining experience.
