We stopped by this restaurant for a fast lunch before continuing our journey to Satara. The service was prompt and the food was hot and fresh. The dosas were crispy, the idlis were soft, and the sambar was tasty, although slightly on the sweet side. The coffee was also good. However, we were disappointed that they did not offer any recommendations and simply stated that everything on the menu was good.
One of the best places for high-quality vegetarian food, offering a wide variety of options, with polite staff and prompt service.
I have been a regular here , at least for last 15years. Had South Indian Lunch here with my family today . Part of Tunga Hotel, this restaurant is always abuzz with those who care for fine dine South Indian Food, or even local Maharashtrial specialiaties like Pac Bhaji, Misal Pav etc. I just love the Idlis, Vadas, and several Dosa preparations. To the credit of the Hotel Management, I still see same Floor Managers over last 15 years...means...there is loyality on both sides, The Staff is very well groomed and service is good, To add to that the food quality and quantity..both are just perfect . I wish this restaurant to maintain same standards of service food quality .Apanna is the service crew was outstanding today.. Best of Luck :
This is one of the best restaurants in Mumbai for vegetarian food – especially South Indian. Can easily recommend their idlis – all fluffy and steaming hot – as also vadas, dosas and uttapams. Their Pao Bhaji, Dahi Batata Puri and Chhole Bhature are also very tasty. The menu is quite extensive including Chinese and Italian – all vegetarian with an Indian touch. There is also a range of milk shakes and fresh fruit juices with exotic names. The service is quick and efficient and the ambience very pleasant – a very suitable place for a family meal. No wonder this place is always crowded, and there is considerable waiting on weekends.
Cafe Vihar is best veg restaurant in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Prices of the food items served are bit higher but quality and quantity are very good. Must visit.
