The food was absolutely delicious. I shared 3 rolls with my husband. We aren't really raw fish eaters so can't recommend any of those, but all our cooked rolls were sooo good. I was nervous because I don't even like avocado, but I couldn't even tell it was in here. We both agreed the Tropical Mermaid was the best (far left). I liked Shrimp Tempura 2nd best (middle). Then Land and Sea 3rd for me (far right). We ate ev... View all feedback.
What Hunter Macdonald doesn't like about The Slippery Mermaid Sushi Navarre, Fl:
Sushi was good but nothing to write home about. Tried about 6 different rolls and all were just kind of meh. Nothing was terrible but nothing was crazy delicious. There isn't a ton of variety most the rolls are just combinations of 3 or 4 different things. Basically only salmon or tuna for raw fish, and most the rolls has either shrimp tempora or imitation crab as a filling. Again not bad but if you sre more into tra... View all feedback.
I love sushi and my dad was sushi chef so growing up I had pleasure of eating many sushi. We had ordered 4 rolls. Big portion of fish in every bite and was well worth the money. The chef looked so young and had some jagged cuts of sashimi but it was buttery. Overall would go back next time we visit!
The entire staff is great, energetic and extremely nice. The food is amazing! Highly recommend!
To the person who scolded our waitress for our New Wave Sashimi order that's too difficult to make, you're the problem... Yah! We heard you. Btw, there's no soap in the bathroom, kinda sketchy since an employee was in there ahead of me. Narrow menu options, but what they make is tasty, a little pricier than what we pay for comparable food else where.
No real beer, only Trans beer by Bud light won't ever be back and we're locals since the 60's...
Good sushi! We took it to go. The vegan chef’s choice was interesting but very good—spicy, sweet, nutty, and savory.
