The heart of organised school fights and youth brawls in the town. On a bad day one would see a few tense standoffs or minor skirmishes but if your fortunate a full on culture war breaks out between rival schools where hundreds of students face off with many equipped with crudely made shivs and spears. Marketing is the great disappointment. I have often been here where the audience is so small that everyone was on stage (black box). It's really a pity because the facility is really good View all feedback.
Great coffee and gift shop, with lovely art gallery upstairs
A beacon of culture. Exhibitions,theater, music, Art and cafe food in excellent collaboration.
Sightless Cinema production Blind Panic was brilliant. A totally different experience. Catch it in The Civic Theatre or on Dunamaise Theatre.
Lovely evening listening to Michael Harding. Really nice modern art centre with coffee shop on site, limited seating however so you'd need to be there early to enjoy a cuppa before a show. Plenty of parking nearby
I went to see Declan O'Rourke in concert here on Friday night and was really impressed by this lively venue. Firstly is a great building well designed with art in mind. The theatre itself has clever seating arrangement so everyone has a good view of the stage and is comfortable. Although it is quite a large space it feels really intimate and like you are very close to the performer even when sitting far back. There is a cafe with good coffee and some alcohol and seating area to use as you cannot bring drinks except bottles water in to the theatre. an art gallery space upstairs and fully wheelchair accessible. The staff were so freindly especially Jules who almost made me think he knew me from sonewhere else! The whole vibe was magical especially for me as I am such a huge fan of Declan O'Rourke and got to meet him at the interval. All in all if you are anywhere close to Navan you must visit and enjoy this gem.
