A real surprise to find such a restaurant here. The Tasting menu was delicious, varied and prepared with a lot of fingertips. Also the wine card has it in itself and the service is not only competent, but also very warm. The honeycomb dessert at the end is even world class. A clear recommendation. View all feedback.
What Niamh Browne dislikes about Brabazon:
Now only doing 2 tasting menus, suppose it's cost effective for kitchen otherwise not sure why. Food was beautifully plated, service good but food not as good as previous visits some courses a little tasteless and meringue was stale, although seabass and lamb were good. Piped music of woman murdering songs wafting over your heads. Pity. View all feedback.

Ate here on Friday and very impressed. Had a sea buckthorn soufflé for dessert and it was fantastic, one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. Expensive, but worth it
Devious food, served by very experienced and dedicated staff in very relaxed atmosphere at surprisingly reasonable prices
Went for a Friday evening meal here recently. Fabulous venue both inside and out. Really pretty buildings and grounds. Decor is very calming and tables are nicely spaced out. Staff are attentive, professional, friendly and well trained. Food is really delicious. Superbly presented and the ingredients are fresh and flavoursome also in keeping with the season. We started with some homemade breads. Followed by starters of queen scallops and monkfish. Both delicious, fresh and just the right portion size. We then received a complimentary gin and lemon sorbet to cleanse and prep us for main course. I went for Roasted Cod with butter beans and my husband went for beef we got some vegetables on the side. Fish was beautifully cooked. Soft and still really moist but not transparent. Paired really well with the butter beans. (Chef kindly accommodated no butter for me) Beef was absolutely delicious. Again cooked to perfection. We finished with the cheese board ample to share. Definitely worth making a visit and enjoy some really fine dining. Only down side was the restaurant wasn’t overly busy so atmosphere was tempered and the night ended early enough.
What a lovely restaurant, we stayed for breakfast after the wedding, very elegant interior and beautiful food thank you
Located on the grounds of Tankardstown House, Brabazon shares staff and facilities with the hotel. The restaurant is spacious, bright, and airy, offering plenty of seating for both couples and larger parties. Service was efficient, courteous, and professional. The menu boasts a great variety, and the food quality is outstanding. Although it’s a bit off the beaten path, it’s definitely worth the trip if you’re in the area. Booking ahead is recommended, as it is a popular destination.

Excellent, this absolute gem of a restaurant cannot praise enough. the farm to the plate tasting menu (12 curs) and wein pairing is incredible. which incredible talent they have in their kitchen! they try it immediately.
We opted for the 7-course tasting menu with wine pairing. One of our group members was a vegetarian and we had informed the restaurant when making the reservation. From the appetizer to the dessert, the food was exceptional, the wine pairings were spot-on, and we left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. I highly recommend it.
I am giving this restaurant a rating of 3 stars. While the food was enjoyable to some extent, there were a few issues worth mentioning. The pork belly had a burnt top skin, it was clearly overcooked and not pleasant to eat. The rest of the dish was great. The pasta was good, but not al dente. The carbonara lacked salt, and the mashed potatoes and vegetables were also lacking in salt. It seemed like someone in the kitchen had taken cooking lessons in the UK. Additionally, a sirloin steak that was supposed to be cooked medium was overcooked and almost well done. The service also influenced my rating, as it took approximately 20 minutes for our order to be taken, which was a bit too long. While the restaurant aspires to be a great place for food, it is not quite there yet. The desserts were delicious, including a carrot cake and an apple and rhubarb tart. There are some areas for improvement at the moment. I will come back in the hope of seeing improvements and will revise my review in the future.
