There chicken quesadilla with chipotle ranch is delicious!! Also the smoked white fish dip is very very good...best I have ever ate by far.

Great food, best homemade pasties and great fish dinners

What a great find while driving through the Upper Peninsula. The creamy and a bit spicy Buffalo Chicken dip was the perfect start to our meal. My wife enjoyed her spicy Buffalo chicken wrap while my son enjoyed his grilled cheese on large slices of texas toast bread. I enjoyed the Gus Special. A creamy chowder with lots of whitefish and potatoes, a lightly battered and fried whitefish that had the perfect crunch and tasted great with either a squirt of lemon or a dab of tartar sauce. To top it off was a smoked whitefish pate that was so good I could eat it directly from the spoon. The pate was perfectly smoky and creamy.

Fantastic! Unexpectedly so!! We stopped at the Cut River Inn while visiting the sand dunes in Michigan Upper Peninsula (8/29/2021). We expected the same greasy spoon food that you get at most of these mom and pop restaurants in the UP, but we were pleasantly surprised. I had a the special, a 22 oz ribeye. Not only was it cooked perfectly, the seasoning was delicious and the meat was very high quality. I almost never order steak out because it's never as good as what I make at home. But no kidding, this was as good as I could do at home! My son had the grilled ham and cheese, which was perhaps the best grilled ham and cheese I've ever tasted. How do you make a ham and cheese sandwich great? I don't know but they figured it out. My wife had the fish and chips. The fish was delicious fresh Cod cooked perfectly. The batter was fantastic. And their fries we're fresh and hot. We will not only go again, we will seek this place out in hopes of repeating the experience.
