What HeatherM doesn't like about Midtown Cafe:
We ordered the lobster bisque and there was no lobster in it. The crab cakes were good though. The lobster mac and cheese had very little lobster. They have options to add protein so I recommend you do so, otherwise you might be hungry. Also, the pasta they used for the mac and cheese was not the traditional shape...I felt like I was eating a kids pasta. The bread they serve at the beginning of the meal was dry and h... This place is WAY more than a cafe. Top shelf food and drinks. From brunch to dinner you cant go wrong.The service was excellent, I advise to make a reservation the place is small. Highly recommend the eggs benedict and the stuffed French toast but the star of bruch was the Smoked Gouda Grits. ENJOY
It’s a Nashville classic for a reason! Shrimp and grits were incredible! If you’re headed into downtown for a show….ask ahead about their shuttle service.
