What an incredible gem! Visiting from out of town with a group of friends from across the world, I wanted to give them an example of great Southern fare and boy, did they deliver! If you want amazing comfort food and a small town vibe, this is where you should go! We will be back every time we visit Nashville from now on! (PS the tilapia was not an option to choose in the drop down of this review but it is also amazing!
The best Meat and 3 in town hands down! I’ve never had a bad meal from here! Their chicken tortilla soup may be award winning, but their gumbo is the best I’ve ever had. Plus, George and Amy are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. You’ve got to make City Cafe a regular stop for lunch.
The owner and the sweet couple who served us where the sweetiest people I met in a very long time. On to the food there was 3 of us and nothing wasn't on our plates I'd not give a 10 to ! The peach cobbler was amazing! And oh they had potato candy that isn't sold anywhere around this area !! It's a must go to place to eatvof u want to be full and meet great people.. Parking: Lots of parking and it's next to the restaurant
A BIG SHOUT OUT TO GEORGE, AMY and the entire team at City Cafe East!!! Each one of you did a fabulous job from the welcome at the door to the lovely guidance on food choices and sharing your life stories with my husband and I. Our first visit definitely won't be our last. One thing is for sure we know we like Tuesday's menu : We look forward to seeing you again.
