Great stop in the airport for a wonderful meal, especially at breakfast! Laid back vibe. Service is fast and courteous. We especially love the breakfast before long flights. View all feedback.
What Cody L doesn't like about Tootsies:
Had the craving for a Mushroom Swiss burger and Tootsies was the choice. I've heard about the famous bar so based on that and it was something new to me I gave it a try. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was casual, with great music. Surprised that the burger patties looked like frozen precooked patties and not fresh ... perhaps because it's an airport restaurant they need to get food out quickly Fewer mushroom... So the server was sweet and everything but being an airport location it still makes us feel like we are in a cattle call. So Tootsie, why hand us a menu that shows lunch and you say we can only order from the measley breakfast menu which is comprised of messy egg sandwiches and a bunch of diced potatoes spread out to make it look like alot. Overall, I wish I had tried some other place. The $13 margarita tasted like rubbing alcohol.
Ok Travelers take this with a grain of salt, this is an airport lounge and it's as good as it's gonna get. All things considered, if you wanna sit down and have a meal during a layover you do worse than Tootsies Orchid Lounge, where you very corner has a guitar and a dream. The service was nice enough but not entirely efficient, which is weird since you are at an airport where a sense of urgency is required. I'm pretty sure we had to ask for everything during the meal and there was no initiative to serving us though both waitresses were really nice. Food is exactly what you'd expect. We got pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, fried pickles, and pork nachos. All were fine and I stress fine. I hardly got any fries but the nachos made up for it. The true best part of the meal is the live music! In this case it was Cole Bradley who put his own acoustic spin on several country hits and took requests. This live music is a staple at Nashville BNA and helps with the layovers. At the End of the Day Tootsies Orchid Lounge is no replacement for the one on Broadway or even in the ballpark outside of Cole. For me, it's Tootsies or Ole Reds if you need a bite between flights.
Arrived to the airport a bit earlier than normal, so figured I'd plant roots and grab a quick bite on the way to my gate. Tootsies is located on the way to C Gates and features a good sized bar, along with an open dining room with tables for single or group travelers. And as you would expect, they have live music too! Food options are basic American style items for both breakfast and lunch ranging from burgers to nachos, cheese sticks, sandwiches, salads, etc...the drink menu is heavy on the beer, but also features a few wines and cocktails. I often revert to having the taste of a child when traveling, so I got the chicken tenders with onion rings. The tenders were solid and onion rings were well fried. Neither were life changing, but both hit the spot. Service was decent. She was friendly, not super attentive, but did what was needed. Overall, no issues with todays visit and wouldn't have any issues popping back in on future trips in our out of BNA.
Food 1/5 Definitely a place for a burger and alcohol not a salad. This was by far the worst airport salad I've ever received. I didn't even take a picture of the burger my husband ordered. The burger was pretty dry also overall very disappointing. Service/ Ambiance Service was decent. We got our food within 10 minutes of order. They did have live music playing. Definitely a place to sit at a bar and enjoy some drinks.
It was only 11:50am and I was way early for my 3:45pm flight. Luckily I was in Nashville which meant, once you're through TSA checkpoints, there's plenty of eating establishments to choose from. This place was on the same corridor as my gate and I saw there were some empty seats at the bar. I found one close to where a guy was performing live with guitar and vocals. He was actually pretty good. The open air establishment isn't the best for acoustics so the closer I got, the better. Kreg was my server behind the bar and had my Sam Adams Seasonal Oktoberfest (draft) to me within a matter of minutes. I also ordered their fried mozzarella cheese sticks. Verdict: Cheese sticks (with marinara sauce) okay regular Bar Food. Oktoberfest: Good, but could have been colder. Service: Fair to Good. Kreg checked on me a couple of times, but no greeting or small talk. In all fairness, they were pretty busy. Entertainment: Very Good. The performer was good on the guitar and had a good voice. This is what moved this review from a 3 Star to a 4 Star. There was a lot of traffic of flyers coming and going, but the hour that I spent there, I enjoyed my drink, my cheese sticks, and some fine tunes. I would come back here.
