The dogwood is the perfect place for a great vibe. Tasty food, outdoor seating, live music, and they had some games (my friends and I played Jenga . I ordered the brisket burrito and it did not disappoint! It was delicious, 5/5 stars! I was expecting the fries to come on the side but they were actually inside of the burrito, how cool : View all feedback.
What David Hejnas doesn't like about The Slider House Best Of Nashville:
Not bad but nothing special. Drinks were solid but no draft beer, draft cocktails were decent but were overly strong IMO. Not a single staff member smiled or looked happy to be there, no conversation just a head nod or look that you were next up. DJ playing was ok but again nothing great. View all feedback.
Reading a lot of negative reviews on this place. My experience was quite the opposite. Mostly positive, a few areas of improvement. Came in on a Sunday evening around 630pm. Somewhat empty. More patrons at the bar than at tables. They also have an outside area. It was a seat yourself situation. I did find an empty seat at the bar. But apparently someone was sitting there. However, there was no indications that it was occupied. So I bogarted someone 's seat. Here is where one of my negative views come in. The seat was really wobbly and uneven. I hate uneven seats. Probably a simple fix. But, oh well. On to the food. I saw that they had a burger slider with peanut butter. I 've said this many times before, if you haven 't had PB on a burger, you are definitely missing out. So I got the PB B, which is Grilled beef, peanut butter, candied bacon, fried jalapeño, cheddar, lettuce garlic aioli on a white bun. I also got the Black Bleu, which is Grilled beef, bleu cheese crumbles, grilled onion, tomato, bacon and blackened sauce on a white bun. I got these as a Double Slider Plate, with a side of parmesan fries. The meal came out and the sliders hit the spot. Both beef patties were not dry and cooked to my liking. Each slider 's toppings added so much flavor, especially the peanut butter. And the buns were soft. The fries, shoestring type, were good as well. But, the next area of improvement, the parmesan doesn 't stick to the fries. So you have a mound of grated parm, just sitting in your basket. Maybe do a flash fry in the oil of the fries, and then add the parm? Not sure, the fries just need something for the fries to stick to. But, I also don 't mind a mound of cheese in my basket. I didn 't partake in one of the many canned beer options or alcoholic offerings. And Chuck was working behind the bar and gave everyone equal attention. All in all, I would go back.
The Slider House is located in the middle of the Midtown area of the city amongst all the restaurants and bars. As you would suspect, they serve sliders of all different types from beef, chicken, pork and even fish. You can get an individual slider for $7, or make a meal out of it with 2 sliders with a side. The Slider House is a sports bar, so TV 's are on all the walls, so not a bad seat in the house when a game is on. Note that this spot is the local Detroit Lions bar, so plan accordingly on game days! We went with the meal option and got two sliders and a side. I got a beef slider, The Old Hickory, a chicken slider, Southern Comfort and a side of onion pedals. Meal total was $17. The sliders were decent with the Southern Comfort being my fav. The Sriracha Honey glaze made the sandwich! I was disappointed in the onion pedals, as while I can appreciate a light dredge/batter, these pedals were barely coated and some pieces were not coated at all. Before our sliders, we started with the buffalo chicken dip. The dip was tasty, just enough heat and thick. The chips are the house made potato chips, and while good on their own, not my favorite vessel for the dip. Drink wise, they have a full bar with several specials, beers on tap, cocktails, etc...we got a beer and I ordered a Gin and Tonic. My first G&T was solid, but my second was rough. I cannot pinpoint what it was, but it did not taste like a G&T. I confirmed it was what was made, and was assured, which just made me a question it a tad more. Service was a bit hit and miss as well. Our server was friendly, but not super attentive with drinks/refills. Overall, the experience, food and service was just ok . Nothing terribly wrong or really outstanding. Decent spot for a decent slider and a beer.
Zero stars. BAD experience. Highly do NOT recommend. Aggressive RUDE manager who ruined my and my party's meal. Go elsewhere for a real burger, not a fraction of a burger at full price. What a rip-off and a bad experience.
Came on a Sunday around 2pm and sat immediately. Server came and took our order. We got Nashville sweet tea(Long Island iced tea) it was great! And we ordered the pub style nachos and Nashville hot chicken sliders with cole slaw. Order came out within 10-15 mins. Our server was excellent and the food was good and atmosphere was great.
The black bean burger could've had a little more seasoning on it. Everything else was good. The bathroom could've used some assistance. Every time we visit the slider house, we always have the same sever.
