After I was away from Nashville for 29 years, I just wanted to eat! It wasn't disappointed. My family loved it. Guacamole still the best of all time!!! I don't think they even increased prices. Will be back in 2 years.yummo View all feedback.
What Liam Kutschera doesn't like about San Antonio Taco Company:
This place used to be great when I was younger but it’s not what it used to be. Tacos aren’t that good, they could do better with cleaning and training a more polite staff. I hope this feedback is constructive. View all feedback.
San Antonio Taco is certainly unique. You grab an order form when you walk in, fill out what you want (pencils provided) and bring it to the register. You pay there and the food follows pretty quickly on a tray, for you to take to the table of you choosing. This is not fancy by any means and seems like more of a college hangout given it's proximity to The Vanderbilt campus. It does have a level of charm in some way. You can tell it's been around for a while. There is indoor and outdoor seating on the patio. You will be unable to find a table outside that isn't warped. The glow of the neon added to the vibe. The chicken tacos were small but tasty and for the price you could certainly order a few. The chips were good, but not great. Many were busted up into small pieces (probably the bottom of the bag). There were beer options some of which paired well with the menu options. Overall a good spot for quick eats, that taste good and at an affordable price!
We came down for the Hokies game and stumbled upon San Antonio Taco Co. We loved the atmosphere and the food was fresh and delicious. The staff were all great. We will be back !
Delicious food! Super fresh and made to order. This was our first time there and the staff made us feel so welcome and explained the ordering process to us. My favorite was the queso and chips and the crispy tacos. The portion of guacamole was huge and delicious too!
Never actually eaten there, but that was our house in 1971-1973. My bedroom was the 3 gable windows facing 21st Ave.
Service and quality have gone downhill. Ive been going here for 25 years and its too far gone.
