Since the first time I tried this location I was hooked. The food is delicious! It’s really my favorite spot for a Bennie. I’m not vegetarian but I choose the one tomato, two tomoato. I’ve also tried the St. Charles it’s amazing and I’ve tried the blackstone, they are all so tasty! My husband got the bananas foster French toast! They offer brunch drink bar options. The service has always been very good.
The shrimp and grits here were INCREDIBLE. Strong Cajun flavor that had us come back a second time before we left! Biscuits and gravy were mild with great seasoning, the chicken sandwich was ridiculously large and tasty, and the green tomatoes were so good we almost ordered another portion! The stuffed French toast is seasonal, and it had this perfect balance between sweet and savory. The avocado toast was our least favorite, but it was a cool concept that just fell flat in the end. Too much on top of a thin slice of bread.
I recently visited a breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot in the Hillsboro Village area and had a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was enjoyable and the staff was great. However, I was disappointed with the lack of seasoning in our food. The catfish and grits lacked flavor and the grits were undercooked. The Migas dish was better, but the chorizo was not spicy enough and the Chipotle sour cream seemed dry. Despite this, I plan on returning to try either the pancakes or the Bennies, as those dishes seemed popular among other diners.Overall, a nice spot with potential for improvement in the seasoning of their dishes.
Gayshea was amazing, thank you! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30
