The restaurant had a limited but good selection of options, although it would be even better if they had more choices available. It would also be great if they offered cheese and sauces for vegan customers. I would have liked the option to add cheese and more toppings to my bowl, but the dish I received was still amazing. The spicy level was just right for me, but it was too spicy for my husband. View all feedback.
What I Finn Smith doesn't like about Riddim N Spice:
Should we just stick to drinks? The rum cake was the highlight. We ordered a variety of items for our late night dinner. Unfortunately, the salty shrimp was unpleasant and the jerk chicken was disappointing. The mac and cheese lacked flavor and the cabbage was just okay. This was the worst food we've had in Nashville and it was overpriced. View all feedback.

The atmosphere is beautiful. The food is served quickly. The chicken has great flavor, as does the rice. I first tried Caribbean cuisine in Turks and have been searching for something similar in many states. I eventually gave up, but luckily stumbled upon this gem and decided to give it a try. It's not exactly like the food on the island, but it's a close second! I will definitely be going back.
I was a bit hesitant when we walked into the restaurant and saw only one other table occupied (likely due to a football game happening in the city at the time). They offer a customizable bowl option with starch, protein, sauce, and toppings, or an entrée with two sides. I chose the oxtail with macaroni pie (baked Mac & cheese) and cabbage. The cabbage with corn, carrots, and peas was one of the best sides I've ever had, and the macaroni was delicious. The oxtail was incredibly tender. The staff was polite and attentive, cleaning when not busy. The only drawbacks were the excessively loud music that made it hard to hear each other, and the lack of napkins (only a to-go silverware pack). Despite these issues, I would still recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant has a super cozy party atmosphere with delicious food and drinks. The customer service was outstanding, from the security to the wait staff, everyone was welcoming. The drink selection was impressive, featuring top shelf brands including the original Jamaican White Rum that is hard to find in Nashville. The food options were tempting, with the shrimp tacos and jerk chicken being particularly flavorful. The prices were reasonable and parking was free and convenient. The restaurant is the perfect size for small group gatherings. It's rare to find a late night dining and drinking spot with live DJs in Nashville, and the DJs here were professional and played a variety of music for the diverse crowd. It was great to see people from all different backgrounds coming together. I look forward to returning to this restaurant and wish them all the best success. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Thomas was amazing and I would definitely return just for the cabbage. I started off with the plantain French toast from their brunch menu, but found it to be lacking in flavor. However, the veggie roti was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying the cabbage and plantains.
