This was a great spot to sit for a bit with a cold beer and enjoy their wifi while the barflies got their drink on. There are a number of restaurants in Nashville, this one seemed the most low key and inexpensive. Lots of food options the burger looked good. But today was just a beer for an hour and plug in for some charging after exploring Nashville. [Review 20548 overall 87 in Indiana 1529 of 2023. View all feedback.
What Annelise R doesn't like about Out Of The Ordinary:
The decor and look of the restaurant was great, as well as the service, but the food was underwhelming. We got the queso, which was good, but the steak sandwich we got was undercooked and the Cobb salad was average. View all feedback.
Tucked off the main drag with parking in the back the restaurant is located in the front with the bar in the back just a plain and simple nice set up

On this Friday night, there was no wait, just a handful of tables amongst the divided dining rooms. On either wall sat two big screen tvs on silence and, initially, there was no music so it was weirdly quiet and had the feeling that everyone could hear each other's conversations. I ordered a fully loaded Hoosier breaded tenderloin with American cheese, onion rings, and a Cider Boy. My onion rings were served with a tangy dipping sauce. Our server was sweet but misunderstood my mate's order when he said: I'll take the exact same thing, skip the cheese. He didn't receive any onion rings. After pointing out the mistake, he got them fairly quickly but no dipping sauce. Again, quickly fixed, and both the onion rings and sandwiches were really good. The buns could've been bigger and a better quality for the amount of meat that's on them, which was plenty enough to take 1/2 home.
Good food and friendly staff! We had the potato skins, burger, and tenderloin. All very good lunchtime meals. Our server was very nice and kept our drinks filled continuously. Great place to pop in while shopping in the area.
This is a relaxed spot favored by locals, where husbands can unwind while their wives shop. Just joking! Although there is a sign that says "Husband Day Care." The beer is served ice cold in frosted glasses, and the service is friendly. The food is quite good, but don’t expect a fine dining experience; it’s reasonably priced and satisfying. I brought some friends from out of state to try the classic Indiana Breaded Tenderloin Sandwich, and it did not disappoint! It’s probably one of the best I’ve ever had—an 8 oz cutlet that is hand-pounded and freshly breaded to order, no premade items here! My only complaint is the tiny mustard packets; honestly, you need a good amount of dill pickles and yellow mustard to properly dress a tenderloin. I had to open seven small packets to get enough mustard! They could really use squeeze bottles for that, like they do for ketchup. But don't let that deter you—my friend's house salad looked great too, large and piled high! Seriously, you’ve got to try the tenderloin.
