Food was good. Definitely room for improvement on other aspects of the restaurant. The staff could have been more friendly. I would eat here again though. I like the build your own pasta option. The pasta itself was pretty good. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Nicoletto's Italian Kitchen:
Decent pasta. Building your own bowl is a hit or miss on flavor and quality, so I?d recommend getting a house favorite. I?d skip on the salad- tasted pre-packaged and not fresh. My issue comes with the pricing. After paying $20 for a bill I calculated tobe $15, they explained to me that their current menu doesn?t reflect the price increase of $1 on practically every item, down tothe toppings. Highly disappointed that... View all feedback.
I get a fast food restaurant feel here with higher prices for Italian food. I've heard the pasta is homemade but I ordered an Italian salad with a side of fries. The baked bread is very good and so are the fries. You place your order and given a pager.Once your order is ready the pager goes off and you pick up your food tray. Limited indoor seating with outdoor seatingavailable.
First time here so I went with a fan favorite and ordered the Gnocchi Bolognese... delicious!! Definitely coming back to try more menu items. Also, the girl who helped me was wonderful????
First off, the food was on point. The chicken Parm was tender with a delicious marinara and very fresh mozzarella and basil. The arugula salad also very fresh and served with a tasty basil vinaigrette. Focaccia bread on the side was good. What wasdisappointing: we arrived at 8:35pm after seeing a film at The Belcourt and, uncertain of the hours, asked an employee who wasclearing outdoor tables if they were still open. She seemed uncertain of the time and came across less than welcoming but didinvite us inside. While placing our order my wife asked what wine she recommended and we got a response something to the effectof Oh, I don 't know. My wife then said she 'd like to try the chianti and the response was Well, I 'd have to open a bottle, conveying intentionally or not that this would seemingly be a bother. I suppose she may have had a rough day of service(though the restaurant hours, I later discovered, are only 4pm 9pm so that 's hardly killer service hours), but as an Italianrestaurant (fast casual notwithstanding) you a) have to know about your wine offerings; and b) never turn down an opportunity tomake a beverage sale given the revenue you are otherwise losing. As it stood, both of us just ended up with a cup of water. Wewill definitely be back as the food was delicious. Hoping we just caught an off night on service.

Highly disappointed that this wasn?t verbally communicated to me until after I asked about it. I was not refunded.Note to management, the prices customers see should be honored until your new board comes in. Overall, a disappointingly averageexperience.
I got a very basic meal spaghetti Bolognese with mushrooms and a Chicago Chop Salad. I figured it would be good dishes to try the place out with. But it seems it wasn't meant to be as I can't recommend even the basics. Honestly, the pasta was not good. The spaghetti itself was not al dente incredibly mushy actually and the Bolognese sauce is flavorless. It just tastes likeground meat...not much else (lacking even the basics like salt). The salad and dressing were fine, but the side bread alsolacked flavor (the croutons on the salad however were delicious and sadly, one of the most flavorful things amongst the dishesalong with the dressing). It was absolutely not worth the price considering the quality and quantity. The pasta maybe more'worth it' if it could deliver on flavor (but charging $2.95 for mushrooms when you only get perhaps 1.5 mushrooms is not yesI counted and it was 11 thin slices on my spaghetti. These are not truffles) but the salad is not appropriately priced. Mealwas almost $30 without delivery charges. It's just not worth it for flavorless food.
