When I moved to Nashville 1 year ago I wrote an initial review for this place. I said it was the best burger around town. Well I have been back many many times and I am re writing this review. This is the best burger I have ever had anywhere. You need to go here asap. Look at this perfection. View all feedback.
What Gilles Bouchard doesn't like about Mother's Ruin:
I came with my dog. We drove 24 hours to come to see a show at the Ascend Amphitheatre.I was recommanded this place as it is supposed to be nice and dog friendly, far from broadway’s excitement. When I arrived, at 9h02 pm, patio was 50% full and there was many dogs, so I was super hyped. The doorman rejected me and my dog, as passed 9pm only service dogs are allowed.I asked if all dogs on the patio were service dogs, h... Chefs kiss. You want a small intimate vibe? Pick downstairs. You want an outside oasis with twinkling lights and superb outdoor bar service? Pick the outside patio. You want an upstairs with natural light windows, another bar, immaculate seating, and a pristine playlist? Step yourself upstairs to be awaited by the kind and helpful staff. Coming back tomorrow night ?
I come to Nashville a lot and kinda got burned out by the same old places I have always gone to. So I tried this place at random and my expectations were exceeded.1 I walked in with a book under my arm and the person at the door engaged me in a brief discussion about reading as a result. This set a sense of immediate comfort.2 I sat at the bar and was waited on by Geordann (I inquired, which is the only reason I know how that is spelled. He was thorough in explaining things and exceedingly friendly. Definitely the kind of person you want tending your bar. And as more people showed up and ordered, I realized he was familiar with the bulk of them. So more points to him...and more evidence that this is a comfortable spot with good folk.3 while sitting at the bar, another customer struck up a conversation with me, again, about the book I was reading. So the clientele, at least as far as my experience went, was warm and intelligent.4 Food and drinks were above average. A bit on the pricer side, but you get what you pay for. I had a falafel burger and savored every bite. All of the tastes put into it were well balanced.5 in addition to the food, I also ordered some cocktails that were really solid. I spent over $60 total and felt none of the regret I usually feel when I spend $60. Everything was legit.I will 100% return to this establishment. The food tastes good, the staff is exceedingly friendly, and the atmosphere is light.
Really yummy food. We had the chicken Cesar salad, hot chicken sandwich and the breakfast

This event completely ruined the rest of my evening.
I was hanging out there with some friends and someone had picked this place — it was my first time there. And I Absolutely loved it! You might go there for the first time for cocktails but the food is what will bring you back the next time!! It’s finger-licking good, with no exaggeration whatsoever. The only reason I didn’t go for 5/5 was because I wished they had table service, specially since ours was a larger group, it was a bit inconvenient for everyone to walk up to the bar, order drinks/food and wait for the food at the table.Highly recommend this place! I suggest you go early to beat the crowd and lines.
