a truly unique culinary experience. very creative offers. we shared a veggie dish with a roasted squash, a crispy saffron rice, a very delicately prepared red garnel. we have added our selection with a very beautiful Spanish red mixed wine. the wine list is small but with great choices to fit the menu. the anwesen is a rustic, attractive, restored house that previously housed another local restaurant. What User doesn't like about Lou:
The food was good, but nothing out of this world. The drink options left us especially puzzled. What brunch spot doesn’t have a Bloody Mary? One of our guests asked for a screwdriver, but they said they could only serve it in two separate glasses: one with vodka and one with orange juice. That seemed quite strange to us. It's an old house, very tastefully done. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was kind of gourmet I guess. Every dish was very different. Small plates, nicely presented, kind of like tapas. I was not the biggest fan of the food, but can't say anything bad about this place. Nice experience.
Went for dinner last night and wish I hadn’t. I took two family members from out of town thinking it would be a great experience (brunch there previously had been) but dinner was honestly such a let down. First, I tried to call numerous times to mle sure there would be enough menu options that evening for someone who might be expecting and no one answered. (Menus rotate/vary so wanted to check in) At dinner, we ordered the $110 steak several $20 range sides and it just wasn’t the quality I’d expected from them. The waiter was pretty snooty unnecessarily all evening and it put a damper on the evening which was to be a celebration. PS don’t bother putting whatever the special occasion is into Resy- they ignored it. It would have been nice to have had that expensive meal without the attitude! My advice: stick to brunch if you do go.
One of the best Resturants we’ve been to in years. Food is great and edgy. Not expensive. Great and eclectic wine list. Cool building too-try the outside porch. Special shout out to Victoria and Ula for great service, knowledge and humor.
Lou is so charming, the food is really fun and unique. We tried as much as we could, and the trout was absolutely incredible. The reason I’m writing a review is because of the service though. Our server was super sweet and I know he was busy. As a former server myself, I was floored when we told him we couldn’t decide on which wine we wanted, and he brought over 4 samples for us. We ended up trying a “contact” wine for the first time ever and it went so well with our meal. These days it’s rare to find good food and good service. I can’t help but think management must be treating the staff well if they’re so happy, not flustered, and go above and beyond to give us the perfect date night.I wish I got his name. He had bouncy brown hair and lovely nails. To this gentleman, thank you for being so kind and patient with us! We will be back!
Very cute place that seemed to have influence from Mexico and the Middle East at the same time. A few vegan items on the menu and the waitress starred the items. Ordered the crispy rice and Celeriac Bacon and both were extremely yummy.
