Best $4 food product on planet earth!. I've eaten at this place for 4 days in a row now b/c it's great food and cheap! It's $3.99 for a big gyro or felafel sandwich or $5.99 for the plate with rice and salad. They are also extremely friendly people. View all feedback.
What Whitney Kutch doesn't like about King Solomon's Gyros:
If you're looking for a good meal in East Nashville but don't have the time it takes to sit down, consider stopping by King Solomon's Gyros at Gallatin Road . For starters, you won't find better service anywhere in East Nashville. While Rachel and I w View all feedback.
Today was my first time ever trying this place. I usually go to the Chicago Style Gyro place because my office is a mile away. Today I used Yelp and discovered King Solomon's and drove the 4 miles from my office and I'm glad I did. It's way better than Chicago Style Gyro by far. I ordered the chicken plate and everything on my plate was delicious. I would suggest you get there early because by the time I left the line was long. But there's a reason for that.
Looking for a dive that has good, inexpensive food served hot and fresh in a sizeable portion? Look no further as King Solomon is your jam!!! Drive thru windows on both sides of this shack and it doesn't matter which side you go to. There's also a walk up window. Handful of tables out front, but that's it for seating and they aren't really open late (I think till about 9 during the week), though Fri and Sat nights it might be open later. Family owned and operated business and you can order ahead and they'll have your order ready for you. Maybe 3 parking spots in the back and then there's free street parking right there next to the building itself as well. Try the Greek gyro for about 6 bucks or so...it's large, hot, with fresh vegetables and a warm and soft pita. Tough to be a cheap, quality gyro like what they're serving.
How this place got 4.5 stars is beyond me. This establishment is a little building with limited seating outside and a drive through concept. It was very confusing because it seems like cars just sit there and moves slowly through the line. We almost got impatient and left. There is also a walk up window where you can order from. When it's finally our turn, she took our order and told us to wait. Then, she took our payment and handed us waters before telling us to drive around to the other side. We waited for about 15-20 mins for our food to be ready. I was really excited for this lunch, but it fell short. The hummus was really watery. The salad was not dressed. The gyro and rice was the only decent part of the meal. Oh and the falafel I ordered tasted like a donut hole. Not sure how that was possible. It was a very disappointing meal for all of us and I will not be back.
I 'm utterly confused as to what the heck happened, but I loved this place when I first tried them. Today, however, they failed on every level. I ordered delivery of the chicken hummus plate with Greek Salad. I got tiny pieces of dried out, rubbery chicken as if they scraped up what was left in the pan a handful of wilted lettuce and one tiny cube of tomato (in what universe is that a Greek Salad? a ton of unseasoned rice a serving of soupy, bland hummus piece of pita Just yuck. Won 't be back here again as this was a complete rip off.
Came by here the other day for a quick lunch while visiting my doctor's offices in the area. Loved that they have a drive thru that is quick and easy. The service was great and my mixed grill salad was wonderful!
