The service was great but the food left a lot to be desired. I had high expectations after reading the reviews but I was sad after the first bite of fried chicken that had no seasoning. The mac and cheese tasted better than it looked and was the best dish on my plate. Cabbage was cold but cooked to the right consistencyUnfortunately it also had no flavor. Everything doesn't have to have tons of salt bit there are so many other herbs and spices that can be used to enhance the flavor of meats and vegetables. The fruit tea was good and the caramel cake was not worth the calories. The flavor of the frosting was yummy but it was dry and not moist at all. I wanted to love this place because the owner is so nice but I will have to look for another soul food restaurant in Nashville.

If the Mac Cheese not right nor the Dressing it's not Soul food. I came for both but only got macaroni because I could tell it was mixed with stove top or regular bread. I like all cornmeal dressing. Mac cheese barely made it but definitely not what I wanted as far as soul food. Green been with no meat, smoked or no meat flavor at all isn't Soul food. I guess it's ok food but not what I expected.

The owner cares about every customer, she’s always helpful and available. She was incredibly, we witnessed how she spent time making everyone/customers so welcomed and comfortable. Even though we were visitors, she made us feel at home. This is an amazing place. Continue to support local businesses like this. Food was definitely southern comfort and great!

As a busy barber H T’s is where I go to get a good soul food plate for lunch ! Service is great , staff is friendly and the food is delicious!

I have known the owner for years . She is the sweetest. The food is like no other I promise. You can taste the love and time they put into the food. The staff is amazing always smiles. This food is truly for the soul.Food: 5/5
