What Trey Schmidt doesn't like about Carrabba's Italian Grill:
Good selection of Italian dishes with an even better selection of wine. Their mussels appetizer is a must-try, but their entrees were mediocre compared to other restaurants. My partner liked their food, but I have higher standards as an Italian cook myself. I’ll start with the positives (there were 7 of us in the party). The fried zucchini appetizer was enjoyable. Three of us ordered the Parmesan truffle fries, but unfortunately, all of our fries were lukewarm. I got the Carrabba Pasta and swapped the chicken for salmon, but the salmon was poorly seasoned. I also ordered a side of broccoli, which seemed to be frozen, heated up in the microwave, and dumped straight from the bag onto our plates. That’s why it cooled down so quickly! One person in our group was satisfied with their meal; I believe they ordered the ravioli. Overall, the food was overpriced and lacked flavor!
The host and servers were very attentive and made excellent recommendations. The drinks were good, but I wouldn't visit this place just for drinks alone. I rated this restaurant 4 stars because a significant portion of my lamb chop was mostly fat. With only a couple of bites available, I found that disappointing. Some dishes lacked seasoning, which made them feel bland, as if they were designed for an older crowd. However, a little salt and pepper would certainly improve them. On the positive side, the presentation of the food was lovely. I would consider returning if I can find a discount voucher.
The Italian dishes at this restaurant are exceptional, particularly the seafood pastas. The bread, olive oil, and spices are truly delightful. Don't forget to leave some space for dessert! The service was fantastic; our server was friendly and entertaining.
I dined solo at the restaurant and sat at the bar. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the service was exceptional. The food was truly delicious. This place offers more than just a meal; the team is truly impressive. It's a must-visit location where you can enjoy some quality time. You definitely won't regret paying a visit!
The food here is exceptional and reasonably priced! I believe this experience deserves more than just 5 stars. I was truly impressed, particularly by the deliciousness of the dishes and how everything was spot on right from the start. Carrabba's Italian Grill is fantastic! I can't get enough of it!
