I'm such a fan of both the pizza and beer here! The place was hopping last night. Kid friendly and an adult fav of mine. Small pizza is plenty for two. And fantastic beer choices. Sometimes it's hard to decide. Great service and fun place View all feedback.
What Julie T doesn't like about Big Woods:
Five star's atmosphere but two stars service four stars food. We had siracha Cole slaw pretty bland. The Brussel sprouts were crispy and loaded with just enough Parmesan cheese. The wings were ok. Slow and lack of attention by our server. Great gin gimlets. View all feedback.
This is my first time visiting his place. The food was delicious. I got the barbecue pizza and I couldn't stop eating and I got extra sauce and some grilled onions on it. Our waitress was Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn was awesome. Her service was a A1for her to only be at the job for five weeks. My friend who joined me he had a beer and he loved it. This is definitely a family restaurant or you could just go with your friends. The only thing is only two bathrooms one stall each. At times there was a line but besides that everything was great not too crowded in the wait wasn't too long.
The food was delicious. Our server was friendly and knew her stuff. Overall a nice place (ambiance) to get a pizza and a beer. Just an all-around good place to eat. Downtown Nashville.
The service was good however I waited 30 minutes for 2 salads and 2 orders of wings that were ordered as a to go order. when I got home and opened the package, the salads were not made as they were supposed to be there was no cheese on them, the wings were undercooked. They were pink in the middle, and there was no buffalo sauce with them. The wings were in edible. For the money I paid for this food. It should've been perfect. Very disappointing experience. I realize they were busy, but you still have to put your food go out properly. Also, there's nowhere on their website to write a review.
Our favorite restaurant for dinner in Nashville! Pros: GREAT food and a decent variety if someone you're with doesn't want pizza. But. Get the pizza. Good drink selection (full bar), great location (walking distance of everything), quick service, outdoor patio, gift shop, decently affordable for unique pizzas, kid friendly Cons: very dark on the inside, pretty loud if you're on the patio because the road is right next to it (and everyone seems to like excessively loud trucks in Nashville). Tip: my mom and I ordered a side salad split and a large thin crust pizza to split. We had 3 pieces leftover that I ate for lunch the next day.
A friend recommended Big Woods. Five of us came in for a late lunch/early dinner in mid March. On this day customers could seat themselves. The place was packed. Upon choosing our table we were readily greeted by our friendly waitress (who already had at least 10 other tables) with menus. She brought us our drinks quickly and gave us time to look at the menu. The menu wasn 't huge: appetizers, pizzas, sandwiches. Not much as far as vegetarians are concerned, so a couple of us tried one of the veggie pizzas. The food arrived quickly. Tasty. The pork nachos were devoured by the table, and the pizza was really good. I recommend the hand tossed crust with whatever 'zza you 're ordering. Overall everything was fine and average. Pretty noisy with all of the TVs and other customers. If you 're looking for quaint and quiet, this isn 't it. My biggest critique: only single user restrooms one for men and one for women. This seemed really off given the size and number of customers in the restaurant. There must be some Brown County code that says you only need 1 toilet per 200 people. 4/5 stars overall because the ladies restroom was g.r.o.s.s. Wish I had gone in after finishing my meal. Recommend if you want a pizza and beer. Potty elsewhere.
