I had a Cuban sandwich and flan. it was great! I'd put that sandwich on all I had otherwise. it is a tasty bite that it is on the way between my job and jura school. View all feedback.
What Hillary Prosacco doesn't like about Back To Cuba Cafe:
This is the type of place that we normally love... a hole in the wall, inconspicuous little spot. But the food and service were both terrible. My comparison of Cuban food is Miami, but I know I'm not in Miami, so I even had lower expectations. It still managed to disappoint. Overpriced. And terrible service on top of all that. Some of my friends recommended this restaurant, and when I finally tried, I was not disappointed! great authentic Cuban cuisine. try her Cubano sandwich and a Cuban coffee. very small restaurant, but eating is amazing. I'll be back in a moment.
Not a fan, we tried and ecrated them once. there were only a few other customers at the place when we arrived, but it took a very long time for someone to take our order and then get our order. there were several things we would have liked to try, but one said they were either out of them (if it was a dose drink, for example) or that they had not prepared (a food item from the menu.) we finally decided for a basic Cubano sandwich, and after hearing all the hype about this type of sandwich, we let the heads scratch. the worst part of the trip was however the total indifference of the staff. there was no...read more
Great place, great food. It's definitely a hole in the wall. Its location in a tiny strip mall is very misleading. I would definitely come back.
Tiny, unpretentious place, tucked away in a strip mall we discovered on Urbanspoon while visiting Nashville. Great food, great service! Authentic Cuban home cooking! I grew up eating Cuban food and this was just like going home. We had croquetas and tostones (crispy fried plantains) for appetizers they were great! I had the Lechon Asado (roast pork) w black beans and rice and yuca w mojo. Awesome! My wife had the Ropa Vieja (Cuban slow cooked pulled beef w savory sauce) w black beans and rice and sweet fried plantains. Absolutely sublime. We brought our own ice cold beer and wine. We ordered Cuban bread pudding to go because we were too stuffed to eat it there and took home lots of...read more
Best Cuban Food. I recently got indulge at this little coffe shop with a great authentic cuban taste on the food, price is fair for what it is, a tasty and generous portions, cuban sandwich and medias noches are amazing, friut milkshakes are awesome as well. Empanadas on special at $1, crockets, and papa rellena (stuffed potato) only 1.50! Now the best probably is the cuban coffee (like a espresso type of coffee) and the pastries and desserts mhmhmh, arroz con leche also. As far as I knew, there are two rules at Back To Cuba Cafe, rule one, you should order as it reads on the menu (on spanish) and two, no texting while you eating... really? Well, I kind of got clarify that they suggest...read more
