What Sierra Williams doesn't like about Asahi Japanese Sushi Bar:
Got the yellowtail and soft shell crab. Yellowtail was dry and didn't taste fresh at all. Crab was overcooked and tasted burnt.Service was okay, until I got the check and the price was changed from 4.25 to 7.25 for the yellowtail maki.Wouldn't had been an issue if the waitress would have just verbally explained instead of adjusting the number with pen when the check came. read moreAsahi is a hidden gem in Nashville and is considered the best sushi restaurant by many. The owners are incredibly friendly and the food is delicious and well-presented. Customers rave about the grilled tuna collar and the carefully flavored miso soup. The service is quick and the staff is polite and attentive. While some have had issues with portion sizes and pricing inconsistency, overall Asahi is a top choice for sushi in West Nashville. With a 90% approval rating for their buffet options, this place is a solid option for those nights when you just want to eat and go to bed.
This is such a good place for a nice and quiet date night. sushi is AMAZING and service is sublime.
I don't like to give bad reviews, but I think people need to be warned about this placeI stopped in for a quick lunch before a meeting in this area.
Yummy specialty rolls and very friendly staff. They even gave us free orange slices and red velvet cupcakes at the end! Will be back soon!
