It seems they have been experiencing some high turnover, which many in the food service industry have faced, especially since the pandemic. They are currently hiring for both weekend and weekday positions, so if you know someone who's job hunting, encourage them to stop by! Some of the reviews I've seen are quite disheartening and make me question whether the commenters have ever worked in food service themselves. Working in restaurants and cafes is more challenging than ever, and I wish more diners would approach their experiences with compassion. Regardless of what you expect, if you want your food prepared a certain way, I suggest making it at home.

The past 3 or 4 times we've gone, we have asked for th... read more We have been going to Rolands for breakfast for years. Over the past 9 or 10 months the food has been ok. The past 3 or 4 times we've gone, we have asked for the hime fries and hadh browns to be WELL DONE. The waitress writes it down, but each time they come practically uncooked. Two weeks ago the meal was barely warm and we received barely 2 pieces of bacon. Today was the last straw for us. Both of our eggs looked and tasted like egg beaters and were ice cold. My husband got two of the skimpiest pieces of bacon, they were out of sausage and my breakfast came with ONE piece of rye toast. And not surprisingly, the hash browns were cold and barely cooked. We hate to complain but enough is enough.

Eggs were lukewarm and tasteless, sausage was big and hot and good, bacon was thick and hot and good, hash browns were tasty but not crispy, toast a little thick for my taste, not sure if they use real butter or not. Waitress was old but seemed new there, didn't know menu, slow af, didn't even know what brand of coffee they serve. Holes in salt shaker are much too big, watch out. Overall it was good enough, might want to tell them to add butter or something to eggs.
