This is the in-house restaurant of Rama Heritage where we stayed for the weekend. We had lunch and breakfast here and were pleasantly surprised by the food served. When we went for lunch, they had a sizzler festival going on so we ordered a paneer barbeque sizzler and it was quite nice. As a part of the sizzler fest, a sizzling bownie with ice-cream and a apple mojito was included with every sizzler. The mojito was nice, the brownie not so nice (it was a little hard and tasted just about average). Then we had a mix vegetable kadai and rotis which was very good. Next day for breakfast there were varieties of dosas, kanda bhaji, paneer paratha, cereal, pastries. The icing in the cake was luscious, mouth-watering big steamed modaks! We were happy and content with almost everything we had here.
Hotel Rama Heritage is a popular choice for those visiting Nashik since it is centrally located. Their in - house restaurant serves only Vegetarian fare. Corporates have their seminars, conferences and business meetings here primarily for their good food. Their breakfast buffet definitely calls for a mention, good spread of Upma, Idli, Nashik Misal, Stuffed Paratha, Sada Dosa, Masala Dosa, Bread with Butter, Jam, Cornflakes, Tea, Coffee, Fruit Juices etc. Practically each dish is delectable and very well prepared. Idlis were soft, fresh and yummy had along with the tasty chutney. Sambar was average. Upma – Soft and prepared without too much of oil. Dosas – Prepared on request as per your requirement. Sada Dosa and Masala Dosas are choices given, tasted the Sada Dosa quite a delight. Nashik Misal – Here the Misal tastes different, the differentiating ingredient is their ground masalas, moderately spiced, guess due to the different kinds of clientele including children. Very wholesome and delicious. Stuffed Parathas – This again is prepared on request. You can specify the quantity to avoid wastage, this was good though not great The piece de resistance for me was their Ukidiche Modak, huge ones unlike the ever shrinking ones (like our Indian coins) available at some places in Mumbai. Simply ambrosial, best had with ghee (clarified butter) drizzled on top. Apart from the above, had Mushroom Cheese Dosa and Poha. Both were a surprise and a delight. The quantity of Poha is good enough to serve two, prepared in the authentic Maharashtrian style. The Mushroom Cheese Dosa was zestful and was absolutely lip smacking. Service is really good, courteous and non-intrusive. Groups of diners arrive here for lunch and dinner, so ensure you get there early, since space is limited. Quality wise no complaints at all, fresh ingredients render their dishes sumptuous, worth visiting this place.
