My new go-to for American cuisine. I've been to fancier steakhouses, but I don't think I've enjoyed the experience or the service nearly as much as at this particular location. View all feedback.
What Nick Gutt doesn't like about Saltgrass Steak House:
What ruined the entire experience was the server adding a $25 tip to our order after the fact and not telling us, THEN when we got our card back had the nerve to leave the tip line open for more of our money. It’s insulting to think that we would not have done the math and figured out her scheme. I brought my parents for a late Father’s Day dinner. Very good food but I am not happy about the fact that the server basically tipped herself and didn’t tell us. She never came back to the table for us to question her and we’re all full from dinner so we left. Criminal if you ask me.
It has been a few years since we ate at Salt grass and decided to do so for my husband 's birthday. When making a reservation there is an area to indicate if there is a special occasion and I indicated it was my husband 's birthday. This was never acknowledged or mentioned while we were there. Upon sitting down our waitress was at us wanting to know what we wanted. I said, we just sat down and she said,Yes, I saw you. After this interaction it seemed to take time for her to return to us. Finally, we ordered. While waiting it became apparent that Salt grass is trying to do and be too much. It was quite loud from the patrons present. Add to that a TV and various types of music playing. It was kind of like, we are trying to be everything to everybody. Well, that doesn 't work for us. We want to enjoy a meal in peace. No need for 'modern ' country music. Stay true to your roots and what you stand for. The food is ok. My baked potato was firm, not fully baked. One of our items was forgotten and we needed to wait. I will say the carrot cake was the best I have ever had. For $100+ I think we will dine elsewhere. I can think of multiple venues in this price range that will be more pleasurable.
Stopped by for lunch last weekend, nothing I had was good. I requested the 8 ounce sirloin medium, which came out pretty **** and pink red, which is what I requested but yet still tasted like a burnt steak. Also tried grilled and crispy shrimp didn’t care for neither the bread served for appetizer And mozzarella sticks were so bland never again
Dinner and service were both on point. I like how all of the servers, and front of the house staff work together collectively to ensure a pleasant experience. Cole was our server, and he was great! We will be returning soon.
Nice and tasty Father's day meal. Vegetarian options: Plenty of different veges with 50 different was to prepare them.
