Jazz Cafe has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere with light music, delicious sandwiches, and a lot of natural light! The Gyro and Ruben were both made to order and full of delicious ingredients. View all feedback.
What FredFoxAustin doesn't like about Jazz Cafe:
Small operation with a very few real people running the show food programs. Actual jazz performer/owner-manager. Don't be in a hurry when you go. Expect eclectic everything. View all feedback.

Last time we were there, we watched for an hour and a half while the owner served many people that came in after us, and spent time talking with patrons at their tables in the middle of busy lunch hour while no one prepared food. I love the food, and even the atmosphere, but we did not deserve that. Finally gave up and walked out. Never been back.
I was recommended here and tried it for the first time. I was kinda grossed out by the condition everything was in. One of the tables was covered in dog hair, that ran freely around the place. It made me nervous about the kitchen conditions. The cook(? , talked horribly to the employee who was trying their best. I felt really bad for them. Despite my worries, I decided to try one of the burgers out. The taste and quality wasn't bad at all. But it left me fighting for my life in the bathroom.
The last time I was here was in 1996. I went back to try it out today and it wasn't as good as I remembered. Also make sure to bring cash, they dont take card. First they need to deep clean thr place, second please don't let your dog in the kitchen, it's never a good look to swear at your staff, especially when you are understaffed. Food is good as usual, some improvements since the last time I was in. Also to the owners. You should use square so you can accept card payments, add a couple of dollars to each menu item then just swipe/tap with a square reader. They only take 3% of a sale and will allow you to accept more forms of payment
Best local place I’ve been to in Fort Worth. Everyone should go here.
