I love their fried catfish and fried shrimp! It never tastes overly fishy and the restaurant doesn’t stink like fish either. I also indulge in their crawfish when it’s that time of year! So delicious and flavorful! View all feedback.
What Linda Burrell doesn't like about Flying Fish:
It's been several years since I eaten there. It was great. Recently I ordered over the phone paid $57.00 food take out my entire order was not acceptable ? the catfish meal was missing on one side the okra was highly soft fried I didn't get my receipt but I used my debit card. I won't be back View all feedback.
Honestly ive never eaten here but when i have picked up food for others this place smells amazing and they are always very busy. I can imagine that the food is delicious.
Tried something different this visit, and it was great!
This place is part of the Cowtown Culture and certainly a stable of the cultural district. The food is always spot on and fresh. Parking can be a challenge during lunch, etc, but the available space is close by if needed.I had fried catfish with fries Diana had Ceviche. we finished it off with the bread pudding, which t came out quick and h. Each bite was better than the 1st.
Fun place with all kinds of terrific fish. You order at the counter but they do have frozen margaritas and wine and beer. The atmosphere is great. Noisy, lots of families and locals. My fried shrimp and fried catfish were terrific. Moderately priced. All kinds of fishing photos and memorabilia on the walls. A great joint that has been around for a while. Also, I recommend the gumbo.
Never disappoints! Super fresh fish, healthy options, fast/friendly service! :
