What missmollieshea doesn't like about Cast Iron:
When we were seated at our table nobody greeted us. We had to ask someone for our drink orders. Quality of food has gone down however I loved the variety they included this year. Servers behind the pancake buffet section were complaining about their jobs and the serving spoons were dirty to where I had to ask for a napkin to wipe off the sauce off my hand. I along with others I heard talking about it were very cold a... View all feedback.
My friend and I were looking for a place to have dinner and we decided to try cast-iron, which was new to both of us. when we entered. They were very very kind, and nice and promptly sat us at a beautiful table and we were served immediately. We ordered our food which came up quickly and enjoyed every minute of what I ordered a salad and my friend ordered salmon with greens and mashed potatoes. We both had a coffee at the end of our meal with our tiramisu with ice cream, and it was fabulous as well. We were really surprised at this jewel in the Omni hotel.
Everything was very nice. Food was delicious. The price is a bit on the high side, but it was Father's day, so I overlooked. Not that it's a big deal, but the price for the brunch we were told at the restaurant was $2 more than what was shown online. Otherwise, it was a great father's day experience for my husband.
The restaurant was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly, but the food was terrible. We paid over $80 for 2 people (not including tip) for the brunch buffet and it was really bland and flavorless. It was confusing because the food looked beautiful! It was picture perfect, but when you ate it, it was forgettable. My husband and I were stumped because we wanted to like it (the presentation was gorgeous) and we tried a variety of foods, but neither of us found anything that made us want another bite.
I wish I can leave this place no stars. I ordered the vegan burger whatever it is I don't even remember what product. I asked for it to be plain and if they could put avocado on it. It came with sauce. I asked for a plane fries and the fries are seasoned. This might be great for others but I unfortunately have condition and cannot have spices and Seasonings especially a seasoning on the fries that has citric acid. And I am unable to return it at the moment to get my refund. Hopefully I can do that tomorrow. Because today they close at 5:00 and I'm working and I'm staying at the hotel and working across the street. Fort Worth has been excellent this is my only pleasant experience.
Last year the Mother's Day event was wonderful. We felt taken care of and like it was worth the $210 for 2 people. This year no one waited on us, the event was easily 3 times larger and we got lost amongst the crowd apparently. We had to find staff each time we needed water refilled and drinks. Certainly not worth it this year.
