I 'm not a huge Mexican fan however we through we would try it. The restaurant was clean and inviting. It was nice to sit outside and look over at the lake. The service was great and helped me a first timer pick my meal. Very...helpful! My burrito looked a little small and I thought I would need something else but my gosh it was filling and I struggled to finish it. It was so delicious I recommend everyone to try it... What Hans Friesen doesn't like about Zambrero:
Chain "Mexican" place with healthy burritos and the like. Price isn't particularly competitive with other chains in the same genre. Food was ok though. Can sit in like we did, but can't get water, only buy bottles. We were part of a group, but the rest of the restaurant was completely dead on a Friday evening. View all feedback.
Fresh, tasty, great sauce choices, not insanely busy . . . but that might change when the word gets out.
I have been here 5 times. Subway style burritos by choosing your ingredients. Very good and a decent serving. Recommended! I will be returning soon!

Zambrero is a chain of Mexican eateries in competition with the likes of Mad Mex and Guzman y Gomez. I visited the North Lakes store with friends and we all enjoyed the food. The quality and prices are on a part with the aforementioned competitors. As good as it was (my vegetarian burrito was delicioius) I can't think of a lot that really sets it apart from the competition though you can purchase selected alcoholic drinks. The North Lakes does have a great view of the lake and there is a park straight across the road which we took the opportunity to take a walk through.
My wife and I had lunch here this week. It's a pleasant spot looking over the lake, great for lunch. The food was good. The format is like a Mexican Subway, where you line up and choose what you want. They offer beer and white wine in little bottles, but not Red Wine. For what it is, it's decent. If it were mine I'd broaden the drinks range and encourage people to stay and enjoy the location, where as its more geared to sit down, eat, and go.
