The soup wasn't as mushy as I expected, and I didn't mind the pork smell. The thick noodles mix well with the soup, making it a complete meal in no time. The Kaedama noodles are thin and you can choose the hardness. It's interesting that you can enjoy the difference in texture by adding thin noodles after thick noodles.
