My wife and I stopped by Grangusto just to purchase olive oil. In addition to olive oil we found incredible service from Antonio and Valero. Antonio gave us recommendations for olive oil that bottle is just for tourists and small batch amaro and let us taste a vermouth and gin as well. What an experience! And at the end of our purchase they bubble wrapped every bottle for our flight. Thank you Antonio and Valero! View all feedback.
What diningout4321 doesn't like about Grangusto:
We sat waiting for our ferry. Had a few drinks coffees. The girl who served us did her best to avoid serving us, seemed to look in a different direction every time. When she did serve us she was surly rude. Long brown hair, youngish. When we asked for our bill, I'm sure she made it up on the spot, vastly overcharging us compared to everywhere else in Naples. Great supermarket for food with excellent wine shop higher costs than other supermarkets in the area benefits for pensioners on Wednesday with 20% discount on all products.
After we seated it took them about 10min to see us, then other 10min to (superficially) clean the table and after some more 10min finally they took our order. As I ordered I also explicitly asked for some mayonnaise to accompany my potatoes. As the food was served the mayonnaise was missing and they told me that they would bring it right away. After waiting for some more time, they brought me a nearly finished bottle of mayonnaise. So in the meantime my potatoes were cold and I had nearly finished all the rest, as they finally brought a full bottle of mayonnaise.... The service is chaotic, the logistics rather poor and inefficient. They did apologise for the inconvenience and offered us 2 espresso and to get some sweets, which was a kind jesture. However I would very much prefer to get my order, food and drinks on time next time.
2 bottles of mineral water cost me just 0.90 cents.. pretty cheap, good supermarket. We visited the bistro/restaurant right next to it for drinks, was just meh!
