The interior decoration is rust... read more This restaurant is situated right next to the public boat launch at the southern end of Canandaigua Lake, directly on the water. The interior decoration is rustic wood and we chose to sit on the veranda. It was a lovely evening, perfect for dining by the lake. Due to Covid and the shortage of staff everywhere, the restaurant has a sign at the door advising against large groups and also closes when they are overwhelmed. I appreciate a business that prioritizes customer service and high-quality food by limiting the number of patrons. The two servers that night were extremely attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our drinks from the bar arrived quickly and our sandwiches were hot and fresh. The portions were so generous that they kept falling off the plate. We would definitely return if we were back in the area.

My wife and I... read more It's uncommon for me to enjoy a visit so much that I feel compelled to leave a review, but my first visit to The Sawmill definitely warrants one. My wife and I took our family to The Sawmill last Sunday for the buffet, and it was a delightful experience. Every aspect of our visit was exceptional, from the food to the service to the ambiance. I highly recommend visiting The Sawmill for a satisfying experience.
