What Jenna O doesn't like about The Parrot And Grill:
Just got into town for quick get away after a really rough week of losing one of our dogs. We looked up places to dine. We enjoy local low key places to relax and go to. We reviewed the website and menu before walking there from our condo. The website clearly states it's dog friendly in the introductory paragraph. I personally don't mind if a restaurant chooses not to have dogs as it is their right. It's just a littl... View all feedback.
Casual dining at its finest. The service is excellent, and the drinks are prepared just the way I like them. I really enjoy some of the options on the menu. Plus, the owner is always on-site, allowing me to customize my orders. The scallops on a salad with honey Dijon mustard are absolutely amazing—truly the best!
The Parrot Bar and Grill stands as one of the few remaining establishments in the rundown and abandoned Tin City. They serve half-pound Parrot Burgers with a great variety to choose from, including a Caribbean burger seasoned with jerk spices. Don't miss their outstanding grouper taco, grouper chips, and grouper finger baskets. The restaurant has a nostalgic charm, with its interior adorned with one-dollar bills—a unique decor that's becoming increasingly rare, capturing a sense of old Florida. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with polite and attentive service. Plus, if you're looking for a souvenir t-shirt, their shop has a wide selection available.
I visited this restaurant for the first time recently, and my initial impression was that it truly feels like a dive bar, with the smell of cigarette smoke lingering throughout the space. The interior had an uninviting atmosphere, characterized by scuffed tables and dirty windows, which likely explains the lack of customers. We ordered a couple of sandwiches, and they both looked and tasted decent. However, we won't be returning due to the overall untidy appearance and the smoke.
This is a dive bar located in the Tin City area of Naples. It's lively and fun, with great drinks. There's plenty of outdoor seating that overlooks the marina. The staff is friendly and hardworking. It's important to take your time and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere, so don't rush your visit. We started with nachos topped with beef, then ordered the fried grouper fingers. My sister-in-law had the Overloaded Parrot burger, which she absolutely loved. We also enjoyed a couple of coconut margaritas, and everyone had a wonderful evening.
I can't rate them fairly on their food and service because they no longer allow dogs on their patio. We went there specifically because Yelp said the restaurant was dog friendly, but it's not. I'm only putting this review out there so others don't drive 20-30 minutes to eat at The Parrot Bar and Grill with their dog along with them.
